What is CORWADO and when was it founded?
CORWADO — the Consortium of Rural Women for Agribusiness Development Organization — is a women-led national non-governmental organization (NNGO) founded in 2022 and legally registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) under Registration Number 5164. CORWADO operates across multiple states in South Sudan with a mandate to empower rural communities, particularly women, girls, and youth.

CORWADO applies an integrated Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) Nexus approach — combining timely lifesaving humanitarian assistance with long-term systems strengthening, economic recovery, and social cohesion.
